ASAP Explore Instructor Minijob (all Gender)

Introduction: ASAP Minis is a specialized ASAP class, running Monday-Friday in two 
blocks -15:15-16:15 and 16:15-17:15, (blocks subject to change by campus) and on 
Wednesday 14:30-15:30,15:30-16:30, 16:30-17:30- 3 blocks.  
This happens during all operational school days for children in Early Years and 
Kindergarten. The class is designed to allow for participants to try activities and enjoy a 
lightly structured recreational curriculum. Unlike other ASAP classes, which feature a 
single focus for the entire semester, ASAP Mini’s operates by being booked by term, with 
drop in options available with activities subject to change.  

The ASAP Mini’s Instructor is responsible for the supervision and care of children. 
Additionally, the ASAP Mini’s Instructor is responsible for working with the ASAP 
Manager (Coordinator) to determine activities for the term as well as the instruction and 
implementation of the agreed upon activities. Their general responsibilities include but 
are not limited to:  

• Ensuring the physical and emotional wellbeing of all children taking part in ASAP 
Mini’s 
• Supporting a light curriculum of recreational activities including games, outdoor 
play, arts and crafts amongst others as determined by the ASAP Manager 
(Coordinator).  
• Ensuring that children are signed in and out of ASAP Mini’s using the proper 
procedure with attendance and closely monitored. 
• Cooperating with additional after school program sta to support the flow of 
children in the afternoons and being on hand to help other after school 
programmes if needs be.  
• Communication with parents about issues that may occur during the child’s time 
in class as well as relevant information to the afternoon’s program.  
• Ensuring spaces and materials are prepared at the beginning and conclusion of 
each day. 
• Supporting ASAP program functions as determined by the ASAP Manager (Coordinator)
