ISS is looking to hire a qualified
IT Technician
Starting as soon as possible with up to 20 hours/week.
This Position is initially until 31.07.2027
Position Summary
The IT Technician provides entry-level technical assistance to staff and students and supports the day-to-day operation of commonly used school technology. The position works alongside other members of the IT team, with more complex technical issues referred to experienced IT staff.
Training will be provided on the devices, systems, and procedures relevant to the position.
General responsibilities:
- Provide basic first-level technical assistance for commonly used school technology.
- Assist users with routine issues involving computers, tablets, software, printers, photocopiers, audiovisual equipment, and related devices.
- Carry out routine equipment checks, setup, and basic maintenance according to established procedures.
- Assist with preparation and setup of technology for classrooms, meetings, and school activities.
- Help maintain basic technical documentation and user instructions.
- Assist with routine device preparation, organization, and handling.
- Record and follow up on support requests as required.
- Refer technical issues outside the scope of the position to the appropriate IT staff member.
- Follow relevant school procedures, including child protection and data protection requirements.
- Any other duties assigned by the Director of IT, consistent with the nature of the role and the employee’s skills and training.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic computer and technology skills.
- Interest in technology and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow established procedures.
- Good English communication skills.
- Previous professional IT experience is not required.
