LS Early Years IB PYP Teacher (All Gender)

Starting in August 2025. This positon is initially for one year (cover).

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Foster a play-based, inquiry-driven learning environment aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme approaches to early childhood learning
  • Design rich learning experiences that value student voice, curiosity, creativity, and exploration
  • Support a differentiated classroom environment that nurtures the social, emotional, and academic development of each child
  • Use documentation, observation, and reflection to make children’s learning visible
  • Engage students in outdoor learning and nature-based experiences as an integral part of the curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a thoughtful, responsive early years environment

Qualifications

Candidates will have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree and recognized teaching qualification. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • At least five years experience as a teacher in the IB PYP, particularly in the Early Years
  • Have experience in documenting, and assessing student learning using Toddle or similar, as a curriculum planning, communication and assessment tool.  
  • A commitment to inquiry-based and child-centred education
  • Experience facilitating early language and literacy development through Language Arts
    A passion for outdoor learning.
  • Strong collaborative and reflective teaching practices
