ISS is looking to hire a part-time (2 h/day)

Lower School Learning Assistant (All Gender)

Starting in August 2025. This Position is initally for two years.
The primary role of the Learning Assistant involves supporting student learning and additional administrative duties.
 
The successful applicant would be expected to be able to work as part of a team. Essential qualifications and qualities that a successful candidate would bring to this position are good organization skills, flexibility, patience, and caring as well as an attitude of open-mindedness and empathy with the Mission and Philosophy of our school.
 
In addition, experience working within an educational environment would be advantageous. The ability to speak English is an essential part of the role; additional languages would also be advantageous.

Qualifications:  
  • Experience working with children  
  • Understanding of the IB Primary Years Program  
  • Keen insight into early years education  
  • Early Years teaching qualification preferred
Skills:  
  • Ability to work collaboratively  
  • Be an active part of an experienced early years team 
  • Good sense of humour  
  • Strong organizational skills  
  • Flexibility (Mornings, including school holiday periods as part of our Three Seasons Nest program)
About the Role: 
The International School of Stuttgart is looking for a part-time Learning Assistant or Erzieher(in) to support our early years team. Given the part-time nature of this position, a local hire is preferred. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and has a solid understanding of early years education.
