ISS is looking to hire a qualified

Full Time Lower School Learning Support Teacher (PYP) (ALL Gender)

Starting asap. This Position is initially for two years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement individualized and small-group interventions that address a wide range of learning needs.
  • Consult with homeroom and specialist teachers.  
  • Apply scaffolding, differentiation, and accommodations to ensure equitable access to the curriculum for all learners.
  • Provide targeted support for students with learning differences, focusing on academic development.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Use the Response to Intervention (RTI) framework to identify student needs and guide instructional planning. Maintain detailed records and contribute to student progress reviews, parent meetings, and formal reporting
 
Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of inclusive education practices, child protection legislation, and safeguarding protocols.
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of child safety and well-being.
  • Brings a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to team-based problem-solving.
  • Has a deep understanding of inclusive education within the IB PYP framework, and a passion for supporting diverse learners. 
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology to enhance learning and support diverse needs.
  • Experience working in international or IB World Schools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with universal design for learning (UDL) and other inclusive pedagogical approaches.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Have a specific qualification in Learning Support
  • Formal training and experience in academic testing and assessment for students with learning needs.
  • Proficient in the IEP process, including creation, implementation, and progress monitoring.
  • Skilled in using educational technology to support differentiated instruction and student engagement.
  • Experience working in international schools or IB World Schools is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and other inclusive pedagogical approaches.
