ISS is looking to hire a qualified

Full Time Lower School Learning Support Teacher (PYP)

Starting in August 2025. This Position is initially for two years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver targeted, differentiated interventions to support diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate closely with homeroom and specialist teachers through co-teaching models to ensure inclusive classroom practices.
  • Implement effective scaffolding and differentiation strategies to support student access to the curriculum.
  • Provide individualized support for students with a range of learning challenges, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Utilize the Response to Intervention (RTI) framework to identify needs and guide instructional decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reviews and reporting.

  • Demonstrates current knowledge of legislation and best practices related to the education, protection, and safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Committed to upholding the highest standards of child protection and safeguarding.
  • Brings a collaborative spirit and a growth mindset to team-based planning and problem-solving.
  • Has a strong understanding of inclusive education within the IB PYP framework, and a passion for supporting all learners to thrive.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
 
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology to enhance learning and support diverse needs.
  • Experience working in international or IB World Schools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with universal design for learning (UDL) and other inclusive pedagogical approaches.
