ISS is looking to hire a qualified
Lower School PYP - English Language Acquisition / Substitute Teacher (ALL Gender)
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach English Language Acquisition in various grade levels.
- Model lifelong learning through inquiry-based teaching and learning, designing engaging and concept-driven learning experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme
- Inspire engagement in a differentiated and inclusive classroom environment, supporting students to become independent, reflective learners
- Support students in developing agency, research skills, critical thinking, and action, central to the philosophy of the IB Primary Years Programme
- Work collaboratively with grade level colleagues to ensure strong learning is aligned between classes
- Contribute actively to team planning, curriculum development, and reflective
professional dialogue within the PYP framework - Have a collaborative mindset, and commitment, to reflective practice and professional growth
- Provide subbing cover across the lower school
- Have experience in documenting, and assessing student learning using Toddle or similar, as a curriculum planning, communication and assessment tool

Qualifications
Candidates will have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree and recognized teaching qualification and should demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme
- Experience designing and facilitating inquiry-driven learning within the PYP
framework - Have experience teaching across different grade levels
