The International School of Stuttgart e.V. is a non-profit Kindergarten through 12th grade, NEASC accredited, IB World School offering an international curriculum to a student body of about 900 from over 40 nations. ISS is one school, located on two campuses. The Sindelfingen campus is situated 20 km to the west of Stuttgart and offers a dual language / interlingual learning environment. ISS Sindelfingen Campus currently has 180 students from Kindergarten, to 10th Grade.

ISS is looking to hire a qualified

Music Teacher

to commence in August 2025. This position is a sabbatical cover for one year.
 
Candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Music and qualified teacher certification and should:
 
  • be a proficient pianist with a practical working knowledge of stringed instruments 
  • be experienced in teaching music technology
  • be experienced in ensemble / band direction 
  • have a minimum 3 years teaching experience of teaching Music in a middle years context
  • have teaching experience with students in the Primary School Years.
The successful candidate should
  • contribute to the support of the music program throughout the whole school
  • be prepared to seek and /or teach opportunities where Drama performance can merge with Music in lessons and learning experience
  • be prepared to actively seek out opportunities in the wider Stuttgart community for students to perform or view performances on others
  • have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people,
  • display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people,
  • value and respect the views and needs of children and young people.
