ISS is looking to hire a qualified
Upper School Design Teacher
Starting in August 2026. This Position is initially for two years.
Candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree and should:
- have qualified teaching certification
- have a minimum of two years teaching experience of MYP design.
- be committed to a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
- have experience with experiential program development
- have experience with STEM or STEAM programming
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- collaborate with design colleagues and colleagues of multiple subject areas
- develop interdisciplinary units or projects in collaboration with subject and STEAM coordinators
- work with resourcing and provisioning a brand-new cutting edge facility
- be involved in supporting clubs and select events on an annual basis
- model lifelong learning through the integration of technology in the classroom
- evidence the ability to inspire engagement in a differentiated classroom environment
- take on the role of homeroom teacher, if required
Experience with design products such as wood, metal or plastics would be an advantage.
The successful candidate also:
- Has up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of children and young people
- Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
- Values and respects the views and needs of children and young people
