ISS is looking to hire a qualified

Upper School German Teacher

Part-time 60%, Starting in August 2024. This Position is a parental leave cover for 1 year.
Candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree and qualified teacher certification and should: 
  • have three or more years’ experience teaching German Language Acquisition across the IBMYP & IBDP
  • be committed to a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
  • have a strong commitment to the values of international education
  • have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of children and young people 
  • Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people 
  • Value and respect the views and needs of children and young people

The following would be an advantage: 
  • Experience in using technology in the classroom
  • Experience in curriculum development and documentation
The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • model lifelong learning through the integration of technology in the classroom
  • evidence the ability to inspire engagement in a differentiated classroom environment
  • take on the role of homeroom teacher, if required.
